Happy List

Photobucket

What do you have to be HAPPY about?  Come on and join it at Mamarazzi's site.

I am HAPPY that I was able to wish my father Happy Birthday yesterday.  Seriously, this makes me HAPPY that I am ABLE to do this.  Although during our phone conversation I was not so happy hearing what he was saying.  He is giving up.  He feels if the doctors have given up on him with the cancer, then what is the purpose of going to see them.  I hate hearing this; however I am very very HAPPY with his response to my next question.  I feared that if he was giving up will he go back to drinking.  When I asked this, he answered back rather quickly, as if he did not have to think about it, NO.  He wants to continue his relationship with his girls and grandchildren.  He doesn’t want to lose contact with us or time with us due to alcohol.  This made me so HAPPY.  I do not want to lose my father that way.

I am HAPPY that this Friday we are going to purchase our flight tickets to Las Vegas and figure out our hotel.  I can not believe it, that I am going to actually get on a plane with Todd and have some one on one time with him, in a place we both have never been to and have wanted to go too.  Personally, I do not need to go to the casino; however it would be cool to go.  I want to see the sights.  I want to see the Eifel Tower, because chances are, I will never really go to Paris and see the original.  I want to see the Statue of Liberty because I have never seen the real.  I want to be in a gondola because chances are I will never go to Venice.  I want to see the lights and water fountain at the Bellagio Hotel.  I want to see the beauty of the Las Vegas strip at night and during the day.  I know Todd wants to really play poker there in the worse way.  I hope he does, while he is playing maybe I will get to meet a friend I made nearly 4 or 5 years ago over the internet.  She lives there.  I am so HAPPY we are really going to do this.

I am also HAPPY that my mother will be coming to stay with the boys while we are in Las Vegas.  This makes me very HAPPY that they can be with their Grandma and I know they will be in good hands.

I am HAPPY that I have both parents.  I am HAPPY that my boys are being respectful right now.  I am HAPPY that my marriage is strong once again.

Life is treating me fine right now.  I will take it and this makes me HAPPY.

We Want To Know

null

This week's questions come from Crazymama and Fullfilled Mommy @ http://threekidsfouryears.blogspot.com/

{1} How many phones do you have in your household? (cell, smart, land lines)
{2} Are you brand loyal? (Apple or Android or something else?)
{3} Would you rather talk on the phone, text or email?
{4} What do you think of Video chat? what do you use? (skype, facetime? google talk?)
Fulfilled Mommy @ http://threekidsfouryears.blogspot.com/ wants to know:
{5}What is your favorite gadget? (Tablet, cell phone, etc.)
{6} If you had to pick just one technological gadget, (computer, cell phone, smart phone, tablet)and it was the only one you could use for a year, which would you pick? explain why.

 Here are my answers:

{1} How many phones do you have in your household? (cell, smart, land lines)
3 land lines, 4 cell phones.
{2} Are you brand loyal? (Apple or Android or something else?)
Nope, we do not have smart phones.
{3} Would you rather talk on the phone, text or email?
Talk.  I would rather have a real conversation then wait or be interrupted when I am trying to respond with a part 2 of the original text.  I do love sweet emails from my husband.  It reminds me of our beginning.
{4} What do you think of Video chat? what do you use? (skype, facetime? google talk?)
Don't have an opinion, I don't video chat.  I think it is wonderful for someone for a long distance relationship or may want to if my children ever move away.
Fulfilled Mommy @ http://threekidsfouryears.blogspot.com/ wants to know:
{5}What is your favorite gadget? (Tablet, cell phone, etc.)
I like Todd's tablet but give me a lap top or computer any day.  I think I want an Ipod some day.
{6} If you had to pick just one technological gadget, (computer, cell phone, smart phone, tablet)and it was the only one you could use for a year, which would you pick? explain why.
Computer, I guess.  We don't have smart phones, I do not see a rhyme or reason to pay that much for a cell phone or extra for even usage of said smart phone plan.  I guess call me odd, but I have not jumped on that band wagon.  Tablet's seem to be nice, but I would rather have a real book compared to an Ebook, I also prefer real keyboards compared to the touch keyboards on the tablets.  Again, I guess I am just odd.

Tackle It Tuesday

I tackled the Kitchen, Spring Cleaning that is.  I washed my walls, ceiling fan, and cupboards down.  I still love the makeover in the kitchen (We also will be adding the white hinges soon.) however the lighter cupboards and lighter wood on the ceiling fan, shows dirt so much quicker.  I also took the shades on the light fixtures and washed them as well.

One area the Kitchen needed a lot of TLC was the dishwasher.  I do not know about you, but I have found the dish washing detergent the past few years seems to be very harsh on my dishwasher.  It is leaving more calcium and hard water deposits.  I have tried the vinegar method and the Tang method, but neither worked for me, so I searched the Internet a little harder this time.  I found this wonderful site How to Clean and Maintain a Dishwasher (I also pined it to Pinterest.) I did exactly what it stated, step by step.  I unplugged the dishwasher and took the spinning thing on the bottom off.  (I know that is not the technical name but that is what I am calling it.) I cleaned this section as good as I can and was rather happy with the way it looked.  I cleaned the spinning device on the top and took a scraper and scrapped as much as the build up I could.  I then ran the machine through a cycle with the vinegar and then one more time with this product Lemi Shine for the hard water deposits.  My dishwasher is looking close to brand new now.  I am very happy with it.

I also tackled the refrigerator.  I talked a little about our poor old refrigerator when I posted about our new stove.  How jealous it was of the new stove, well the refrigerator is still hanging around.  The ice cube maker is now dripping, which is making our ice cubes stick together because the water on the bottom freezes it.  My husband bought a sink mat and cut it to the size of our ice cube maker to separate the water and the ice.  Our meat/cheese tray broke a couple of years ago, so our refrigerator seems to become a mess putting it nicely.  We have tried to keep the meat and cheese in one of the fruit/veggies bin but then we have veggies going everywhere.  I just hate the way it looks and become overwhelmed so easily.  I ended up picking up these little storage bins with handles to place in the refrigerator and labeled them.  It is working out great.

Our house loves Taco nights, so I have one to keep all the fixings for the tacos inside, so when it is Taco night, I reach in and grab the storage container, double win... organization and convince.

What have you tackled this week?  I am linking this to 5 Minutes for Mom.

Happy List

Last week made me HAPPY!  No work all week, although I did not get everything done like I wanted or planned I feel so much more rested!  It is *SOUNDS OF ANGLES SINGING* AMAZING how much rest can help when facing life's challenges.  Super HAPPY!  *even doing the Happy Dance Jig (a belated St Patrick's pun there.)*

My floor has been laid now, Todd and Joshua laid it today.  HAPPY.  The baseboards are not added yet, we want to paint them.  Now I have to finish painting the stairway and this section will be done as well as the small living room upstairs.  HAPPY HAPPY!  I just need to finish my window treatment and recover the furniture.  (I'm a little stumped on the recovering the love seat with the wood and all there.)

Joshua actually did the dishes yesterday without me asking.  He also cleaned his room!  HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY  I do not know what or why the change BUT *in a singing voice* I'm LOVING it!

Matthew came home last night.  HAPPY The first in 2 weeks, however he is gone again.  It was nice to see him even if it was 3 hours before I went to bed.  He has been able to put a lot of hours in and is staying in the dorm he is not allowed to live in...how ironic huh?

My niece has made it 3 days without any seizures since she has come home from the hospital.  HAPPY!  She has to see the neurologist weekly now.  She was hospitalized last Wednesday because she had 6 seizures in 8 hours.  Poor little thing, but I am so HAPPY she has a new streak.  Look for the little things look for the little things.

My devotions from the Upper Room (online) was very touching.   It actually touched my heart and made me sort of cry.  It has been a long time that something like this has touched me like that.  HAPPY very HAPPY

The entire 'supervised visitation' will come to a final decision this week.  I am HAPPY that this will all be completed.  I am not sure if I am going to be HAPPY with the direction of all of it.  I will explain more on that later if need be.

What are you HAPPY about this week?  Come join the fun with Mamarazzi's page.

Hurricane Jar

I made these small hurricane jars when I made the Redneck Wine Glasses.  It is the same processes.  I picked up two candle stick holders at the Dollar Tree as well as 2 large glasses.

Add the glass glue to the rim of the candle stick holders and glue to the bottom of the glasses.

After adding the candle sticks in place, I used a book to weigh it down and let it set for 24 hours.

Add a little Easter grass and 4 Easter Eggs, tie a simple yellow ribbon around the base of the hurricane.  A simple Easter decoration for only $2.00.  I used left over eggs and grass from last year and the ribbon we used for decoration for our wedding.

What? An Award?!

It was a typical day while I was on vacation, reading blogs I follow, actively participating on Pinterest, Facebook, and reading emails.  I happened to open an email:

Hi Jolene,

I just stumbled upon "With A Little Help From My Friends" and you have a really great site! I like that you showcase so many different crafts and projects as well as recipes. Your desserts look incredible, you have great photography, and your tutorials are also easy to follow.

I’m an editor at Be @ Home, which is part of Become.com’s blogging network, and thought your site was particularly exceptional. I wanted to give you a button for your site for being an “Editor’s Choice.”

If you’re interested in receiving this e-award, please let me know and I’ll create a custom button for your site and send you over the HTML code.

Thank you for your time and keep up the great work!

I sat there at first with my mouth open and then re-read the email.  I never started blogging for any type of awards.  Wow, was this serious?  I then checked out her blogging network and I liked what I saw.  Wow, was this for real?  I looked all over the blogging site.  Wow, was this timing good for me or what?  I mean, I feel like there has been so many downs in my life right now and winning something just out of the blue feels good.  I know it is an e-award but for someone taking the time to look at my blog site and thinking it is worthy of an "Editor's Choice" makes me feel darn good!  This person has no idea how many more projects I have planned or in process.  It is funny because I have made a decision during my vacation this past week, I plan to take all of my flex Fridays from now on.  Usually I take them only if I have plans because I am usually training someone.  I thought the 2 1/2 hours off early every other Friday would be great "ME" time...in other words crafting time, of course if I have something planned that will trump it but planning something on those Fridays are unusual.  Now that the weather is getting nicer, I will be able to do many more projects.  Look forward to seeing my new bird feeders, bird bath, wine glass painting, wine glass etchings, and many more projects.

Thanks so much for the award Kristina!

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

It's that time of week again.  What do you have to confess about?

I confess...

This week we did not get as much Spring Cleaning done was we had planned.  I just did not want to do everything myself.

I confess...

I sort of feel like I wasted a week's vacation.  I did get the painting done in the small living room, but the flooring did not get laid.  *sigh*  Todd and Joshua were to complete this.

I confess...

All I did was laundry, assist with the garage cleaning, and Spring Cleaned the Kitchen.  This included the walls, dishwasher, and refrigerator.   I also re-organized the cupboards and pantry.

I confess...

I did do a lot of napping.  I figured if everyone else was going to not help, then I might as well take it easy as well.  I slept a lot!  I think it has been a long time since I felt this rested.

I confess...

WE did go play lazier tag and bowling this morning, but I received attitude from all the men in the house... YES all including Todd.  I finally yelled at them stating all I wanted to do was make sure everyone had something fun to do today.  Time with one another... and I am the one getting the attitude.  THANK YOU!  This put them all in their places in matter of minutes and the attitudes were dropped.  Off we went to Cedar Rapids, we also have Taj today.  We taught him to blow kisses.  It was great to bowl a gutter ball and turn around to see an adorable 8 month throwing kisses (moochies as his Mama' calls them.) at you and clapping and with a sweet heavenly tone a baby "yeah".  *SMILE*  How can anyone feel horrible about the gutter ball, even if it was 3 frames in a row with nothing but gutters.  Yes, that was me.  First game was only 53 and the second game was 33.  I never said I should be on the bowling circuit.

What do you have to confess?  Come on over to Mamarazzi's and join in the fun.

Happy List

Photobucket

First and foremost I am HAPPY that I do not have to work this week.  HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!

We are working on de-cluttering the house and this makes me very HAPPY!  Yesterday I tackled the dishwasher. I removed as much as I could hard water deposits and calcium build up.  That project was really gross but it is done now and that makes me HAPPY!  We (Todd and I) also tackled the garage.  We still have two corners that we feel are cluttered but it is 95% better.  Those corners will be taken care of during Labor Day weekend.  The girls will be moving again (Holy Crap, we will have 4 kids moving August 1st to 4 different apartments/houses.  Oh My!  I see a lot of boxes in my future for that day.) and this is when those corners should be cleaned out, it's their stuff from their move back into our place that they left last May when they moved out.  However, still with two corners a little cluttered we managed to remove 4 55 gallon full of trash bags.  That is a lot of trash!  55 gallon trash bags are the size of bags that recycled pop bottles/cans go into.   The garage looks great!  HAPPY!  The floor has been swept, and I mean swept well.

Today our new linoleum will be rolled on the garage floor for Todd and Joshua to cut.  Then they will be laying it down on the floor at the foyer/hallway.  HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY *dancing with this HAPPY*  I can not wait!  While they are working on the floor, I will be painting our small living room.  I just can not wait to see the color on the wall...Good-bye cold white walls, Hello color!  HAPPY

Although we have a lot of tasks to do on our 'Honey Do List' we have been enjoying our time as well.  Last night we went out to eat and had a wonderful time. HAPPY! Ethan and Noah was enjoyable, it has been awhile taking them out and for them to behave.  I am very HAPPY that they both behaved as they should have in public. We were able to laugh and have a good time...no bickering and drawing people's attention to us.  I am very HAPPY and proud of them for behaving the way I have taught them.

Sunday we went to Des Moines to visit my Mom and Dad, this made me very HAPPY! We also brought Taj with us.  Ethan has a cute little video of Taj in the car on the way home.  He was very entertaining to Ethan and Noah.

Well I am off to Spring Clean my kitchen before I start my painting.  I will be back around lunch time and hop on over to Mamarazzi's linky to read what everyone else is HAPPY about.

What do you have to be HAPPY about?  Come join in on the fun!  Being HAPPY is what Tuesdays are all about.

My Favorite Things SWAP

This is my second swap and I love doing it.  I had so much fun finding deals and goodies for Mary and hoped she enjoyed my favorite things as much as I am her's.  I enjoyed looking at her blog and seeing the photos of her sons.  She has 3 of them and they are at the perfect ages.  She is also expecting another baby in a few months, her first daughter.  How exciting!  You should go check out her blog... My Family....My World!

She filled her box with so many goodies.  I loved learning about her.  I plan to mail little box to her this week (along with a box to Rhonda), this box will have 3 special gifts for 3 special boys after their new baby arrives.

Mary did a wonderful job with the goodies she even sent some items for Taj, which was great because he was here the night I received by box of goodies and was right in the action with me when I was opening them.  He thought he could eat each colorful tissue paper.

Here is a list of her Swap Items:

1.  She loves music, how it can calm her down or pump her up.  Gift card for iTunes.   Oh Mary, I LOVE music.  Music is my salvation.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

2.  A package of Jelly Bellys, her all time favorite flavors, this package reminds her of popcorn.  I can see why. I shared this with the family.  The boys devoured it.

3.  Some items she must have in her purse; the gum that makes her purse smell yummy (when I first saw it, I held it up and looked at Todd smiling..."Now, I have been paid in gum too!"  He just laughed at me.) Hand Sanitizer, which she always needs with the kids.  Yes, yes... she is right, especially boys. She also included Soft Lips, that has just the right tint in her opinion.  I can not wait to try it.

4.  Jello is her kids favorite!  She is right a fun snack for all ages!  Our house loves it too!  I can not wait to make the Jigglers in the cute molds she sent.  I think I am going to let Taj have some too, of course when Mom is not around, she seems to be worried of him trying some things, it is a new Mom thing.   I think 9 months is old enough for jello, just my opinion.

5.  She states everyone is into exercise.  (I read this and stopped there- I thought wow, she must be an exercise guru.  I wonder how she is exercising while she is so prego?) I read more... Be more active, Blah!  (Now I realized, she is my kind of girl.)  She has 3 kids and they keep her moving.  She received this item a few years ago and keeps it at her desk she loves it.  (pictured above... the package that has Around The Block)  Okay, at first I did not get it.  It's a blue little block.  I did not have time to read the little poem with it because Taj was trying to eat the red tissue paper it was wrapped in and I was afraid of any dyes of the tissue could possibly make him sick.  However the next day when I placed all my items out to take a picture I read the poem and busted out laughing.  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!

WALK AROUND THE BLOCK

They say that we must exercise.
I know that this is true.
So here is something that I found-
a perfect gift for you.

Take it out! Please don't be shy,
and set it on the floor.
Walk around it one, two, three.
Don't quit; now make it four.

When you are done tuck it away
and shout out loud and clear.
"I walked around a block today."
(And make it sound sincere.)

 6.  The little chirping chick was a little treat for Taj.  I can see why she loved it.  Taj did too.  I had to hang on to it because I wanted a picture of it before he slobbered all over it from kissing it.  He sat there for a long time on my lap smiling at the chick every time I made it chirp for him.

Mary also included Bubbles for Taj.  I opened them and blew the bubbles towards him for awhile.  My husband and I got such a kick out of him.  He sat there with his eyes opened wide at first, then he would reach out trying to pick them up.  I have to get a picture of this while I am on vacation.  It was so much fun watching him.  My boys used to blow bubbles for hours during the summer.  It was a must every summer...several containers of bubbles.

7.  She loves nail polish and always has a nail file with her, it helps her with her extra long work calls.  I'm definitely going to be bringing it to work.  I have a bad habit of biting my nails when I am stressed to the max.  I can let them grow too.  Right now they are short because of the biting, but more of an incentive to not bite, so I can paint them again, this time with the beautiful color she sent.

8.  A box of chocolates!  Her favorite.  I did not share any of these with anyone in the house either.  I know that was bad of me...but oh well, they tasted wonderful!

9.  She said she saw this sign and thought of me, always a good thing to remind yourself how awesome you are.  Awh...what a very sweet thing to say.  The sign reads A SPECIAL MOM LIVES HERE.  Thank you, I love it!

I saved my favorite for last
10.  She painted this flower, it is her new favorite hobby.  Okay, let me say AWESOME GIFT!!!  I love love love crafting!  I love love love flowers!!! I love love love home made gifts!  She did an awesome job on it!

Thank you Mary for the gifts of your favorite things! Thank you Mamarazzi for hosting this swap!

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

It's that time of week again.  What do you have to confess about?

I confess...

I only cried one time this week that is so much better than crying every time I am alone in the car, every night, every morning and sometimes every now and then during the course of the day.  I have been like that for several weeks.

I confess...

The one time I did cry was right after talking to my dad.  It really bothers him that the doctors have given up doing anything to prevent the cancer spreading.  He wants to keep trying even if it is going to cause death to him.  He does not want to sit and wait to die.

I confess...

I am on vacation for a week now.  I need this time away from work.  I just hope this coming week at home is good too.  We have a lot of Spring Cleaning planned and a few fun activities.

I confess...

Todd and I are trying to see if we can get away to Las Vegas in April.  *SMILE*  This will be so much fun if we can.

Short and sweet for a change.  That is all I have to confess.  Do you have anything to confess this week?

We Want to Know

null

Welcome to We Want to Know Wednesdays Q&A Hosted by Mamarazzi and Crazymama

Crazymama is asking the questions this week:

{1} What is your favorite way to celebrate birthdays?
Making a big deal for my loved ones!  I love to make them feel special on their birthday.  I just want them to know that I am grateful for the day they were born.  For my birthday, just spending time with my loved ones.

{2} Which is  more fun to celebrate? Celebrating yours or your loved ones?
Celebrating loved ones.  I have come to face the fact, my birthday will always be over shadowed by Christmas, so I never expect much.  Most of the time people are done with celebrating when it comes to my birthday.

{3} What is your dessert of choice for birthday celebrating?
Anything but left over Christmas pies or cake.  Seriously... my 16th birthday we were staying with my Grandparents while our house was being repaired from a fire the month prior.  My Grandma refused to let my Mom bake a cake or buy a cake for my sister and I because we had so much left over from Christmas, cake and pie.  Our birthday is 2 days after Christmas and we are 1 year apart.

{4} Tell us about your best birthday you've ever had.
I think this is the hardest question being asked.  *tapping my fingers on my desk*  Yeah, that is not helping.  I think it is a toss up between my 12th birthday and my 40th and 41st birthday.  My 12th, I had a slumber party with a few of my friends from school.  I remember that I made these blue velvet pin cushions and a stick pin was placed in it, to give as gifts to my friends.  I remember that we stayed up all night and did the "Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board" thing.  Rhonda was there.  My father would tease my friends.  My 40th birthday, Todd took me out to dinner to a very romantic dinner.  I had a good idea I was going to get my engagement ring.  He was not very romantic by proposing to me at all, matter of a fact, this may be my most humorous birthday, because, he slid the box to me and said.  There you go, I just wish I could give it to you on your real birthday.  I cracked up laughing and said it is my real birthday.  He looked like a scared deer in the headlights then.  On the 41st birthday we were going to go eat at Texas Road House but it was going to take nearly an hour to wait, so we ended up going to Lonestar and had the worse service, however it was fine they forgot to deliver our food to us (We ended up waiting an hour), this gave us time to set our wedding date and plan what we wanted.  The children were waiting at home (all of them) and we made the big announcement of the date.  They all said something to the nature it is about time.  This made us both happy because not all were happy when he gave me the ring...okay one wasn't happy but she was fine with it a year later.

{5} Share your favorite birthday song
Well... my favorite birthday song is for two reasons.  The Beatle's , Birthday.  Of course because it is from the Beatles (if you follow my post you will know, how much I love Paul McCartney) and because of the lyrics.  "You say it's your birthday. It's my birthday too."  While I was in college, the first year I was not with my sister for our birthday, she called into the radio station and dedicated this song to me.  Every year after that, we try to rush and beat one another to the call (up until 7 years ago when I moved two hours away.) to dedicate the song to one another.  It is so appropriate for us since we share birthdays.  Now I just post the YouTube Video on her Facebook page.  It's our song.

{6} Bonus question:  if you could pick any age to be again, how old would you be and why?
Oh, so difficult.  I miss my Grandpas so much, it might be back to before my Grandpa Rich died, then I could see both.  It might be back to when the boys were younger but then I would be in an awful time of my life, so I wouldn't pick it again.  I would love to have the opportunity to become healthier at a much younger age, so maybe I would not be in as much pain as I am now with my knees...YES, that would be it.  I would pick 39 again.  This would be when the boys were still respectful, life was so much happier.  They were all doing good, I am with Todd and for the first time in my life know what it feels like to be loved and respected and I was working on losing weight at that time.  This time, I would just not let life get in the way and keep working on it.  Todd was as well, he was just diagnosis with diabetes then.

Happy List

Photobucket

This week I feel like I have something to post that I am HAPPY about!  I had a wonderful weekend.  It started with Friday, a late lunch date with my husband.  We aired some feelings and I shared how I felt we were growing apart and feel such tension between us anymore.  I think this helped because the tension is not there any more.  HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY!

Saturday, Noah and I went and had our hair cut.  OH I AM SO HAPPY with my cut.  I think I have found my new hair dresser that I am going to request from now on!   He did what I asked and more.  He even showed me another way to style it, so now I have 3 different ways I can wear my hair.  I am so HAPPY!  It has been a long time since I have felt good about my hair.

Saturday, Noah, Ethan and I went to a ceramic cafe and spent several hours... I mean several hours just painting.  Anything crafty makes me HAPPY.  Spending quality time with my boys makes me HAPPY!  I can not wait to blog about it, just waiting to have the final product to come back.

Later that night I played Apples to Apples with Noah, Ethan, and Joshua.  I enjoy time with the boys.  It reminded me when there was less stress, my boys being respectful, closeness with one another.  HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!

Sunday was great too.  My husband and I spent quality time with one another and this made me very HAPPY.  We also did a little Spring Cleaning and moved some furniture around in the bedroom.  I love the way it looks now.

It has been 4 days now without crying.  HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

It is that time of week again...Confession time.

I confess...

I totally missed Noah's conference last Thursday.  I can not believe I completely forgot about it.  It was not like ... Oh I am late, I have to hurry.  It was not, Oh darn, Noah's conferences were an hour ago.

I confess...

I did not remember until Wednesday when I came home from work (nearly a week later) when Noah handed his folder to me and said his teacher wanted me to sign the forms and send it back since I missed his conference.

I confess...

I seriously feel awful.  I KNOW why I forgot with everything going on, it was actually the same night I was told about my Dad not having chemo.  Although the crap going on is HEAVY and honestly understandable why I missed it...I STILL FEEL AWFUL!!!!

What do you have to confess?

This week's questions are from  Mamarazzi, and this is what she want to know...

{1} What are your Top 3 blogging tips for other bloggers?
{2} What book have you read lately that you would recommend?
{3} What is a physical feature you have been complimented on?
{4} What color is your toothbrush?
{5} What question would you like to add to a future WWTK?

Here are MY answers, I cannot wait to come around and read yours!
{1} What are your Top 3 blogging tips for other bloggers?
I am not professional by no means, but here are my tips.
1.  Be true to yourself.  Blog what is in your heart, do not be fake.
2.  Know why you are blogging...for friends, join linky parties... for crafting/recipes, join other similar style blogs to get your ideas out there... Just to put it out there.
3.  I'm guilty of this one...proof read your blog.  I am so guilty that I do not proof read it until the day after I post it.  Sometimes, I am just running and think I have to publish this now so I can get on to my next thing.  I am going to try hard to step back and try to proof a little more.
{2} What book have you read lately that you would recommend?
This is sad.  I do not even have time to read for pleasure.  I have it on my goals for this year to read at least 3 books. The last time I sat down and read for pleasure was 3 Summers ago while on vacation, I actually read 2 books and loved it!  However, out of all the books I have read so far as an adult, I would recommend the Left Behind series.  (There again, I only made it to the 5th book)
{3} What is a physical feature you have been complimented on?
My Eyes.  I used to hear smile once in awhile and a few people have mentioned that I have a cute giggle.  I don't know about the smile (which is not posted here) or the giggle but I do have to agree, the one thing I like physical feature of mine is my eyes.
