Vacation Day 2 ~ WWII Memorial

The World War II Memorial is a fairly new one in the National Mall.  The Memorial consist of 56 pillars with each of the states inscribed as well as the US territories who participated with the United States during the World War II.  There are two arches inscribed with the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean name.  There are so many inscribed sayings or speeches and so many symbols of American soldiers during World War II.  This area also has a beautiful water fountain.  What a beautiful memorial to all those who fought during this war.  My only regret is we were unable to see it at night as well because I am sure it is simply breath taking lit up at night. I also wished blogger would allow me to upload by panoramic shots.  I have some beauties.  Enjoy!
