Friday Confessional

It's Friday Friday Friday!   You all know what that means?  Yep you guessed it, time to fess up.  Come join the fun over at Aubrey's High-Heeled Love.  She host this little party every Friday.

Here is what I am confessing this week.

I confess...

I was so surprised to see how much growth this little planter has already.

I am really loving it.

I confess...

I am stumped on how we are going to paint our stairway.  We are not professional painters.  Todd thinks we could lean a ladder from one stair to the wall.  He is probably right but I am scared for one of the people I love to do this because I am NOT doing it.  I am terrified of heights, so is Todd but he would if needed.  Joshua my biggest helper volunteered but there has to be an easier way to paint this as well as change that darn light bulb.

Yes, the stairs has over 13 steps.  It kills my knee every morning going down them and some days every night when I get home.  The bottom of the stairs is my front door.  Anyone have any suggestions on a safe way to paint the walls???  Other than hiring someone.

I confess...

I am getting so excited about the move the following week for work.  We will be moving to our new building and out of this temporary sight.  It is tiny right now and the new building is absolutely beautiful.  I plan to be a dork and bring a camera and take pictures.  We also will be paid for a full day but leave 3 hours early because they need our computers and all of our things packed to move.  July 1 will be our first day in the new building.

I confess...

Sometimes when I come home from work, all I want to do is relax and do nothing.  Sometimes it makes me a little grumpy when I get home when I want to do this and I have to make dinner when Todd has been home all day because it is his weekend.  Thursday was one of those times, (although he was home because he was not feeling well Tuesday and Wednesday was his weekend and he spent both days in the garden.)  My grumpiness went away when I saw the beauty of this.

Alright, it may be prettier if my grill was cleaner.
I think sometimes the way food is cooked has beauty.  I guess I try to see the beauty in everything.  It made me less grumpy.  Hey that counts for something.

I confess...

I think I will be painting this weekend.  I can not wait.  I am not sure if it will be on some canvas to finish a series I started nearly a year ago for Ethan's bedroom, or some wine bottles to make into Christmas decorations.  Either way, I get to be crafty and I love that.

What do you have to confess?

  1. Your container looks great, and I love the red impatiens! We have a stairwell like that, and they are hard to paint. I have painted every square inch of our home but our stairwell and I had to get Trip to help me.
