Sunday's Song

You know as parents sometimes it is so tough {Alright it is tough many times in many different areas} to watch your child go through a break up. I just want to protect their hearts from hurt.  This song kept going through my head this week.  I love you son!   ENJOY!

You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand
When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
No I won't give in

Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

So far away
I wish you were here
Before it's too late, this could all disappear
Before the doors close
And it comes to an end
With you by my side I will fight and defend
I'll fight and defend
Yeah, yeah

Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

Hear me when I say, when I say I believe
Nothing's gonna change, nothing's gonna change destiny
Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

La da da da
La da da da
La da da da da da da da da

Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

Keep holding on
Keep holding on

There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

  1. Awww Hope your son is doing okay. That's such a perfect and sweet song to dedicate to him. I remember my first real break up. I was sad for what felt like forever (probably only a couple mths). I'm definitely not looking forward to the whole dating stage when my daughter gets older. haha! She's just over one now so I've got a few years (i hope!!).

  2. My youngest was obsessed with Avril at one time, so we're very familiar with her music around here!

  3. Oh sweet friend, of course parents suffer when a child braks up and parents feel so hurt and sadder than the actual kids and we wish we could do more than just suffer quietly! A beautiful and sentimental song. My heart goes out to you and your son. I will send prayers his and your way.
    Hugs,
